Galfond Cripples Ashton

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Phil Galfond opened with a raise from under the gun and it folded around to Matthew Ashton who made it three bets from the small blind. Galfond called.

Ashton took one new card at the draw while Galfond opted for two. Ashton led out with a bet and Galfond came over the top. Ashton made it three bets and Galfond quickly four-bet it back. Ashton called and both players stood pat. Ashton check-called one big bet on the next betting round and the two stood pat for the final round once again.

Ashton check-called one last bet and threw his hand away after looking at Galfond's {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the wheel. Galfond scooped up the massive pot and is now back in the top chip position with 405,000 .
