The Battle of the Big Stacks
Two of the biggest stacks in the room went up against each resulting in a new chip leader emerging.
With the flop reading the player in the small blind led out for 1,700. XiaoHua Fu was in the big blind and bumped it up to 4,600 and was called by Chane Kampanatsanyakorn in the hijack. The original raiser moved out of the way leaving the two players to see the fall on the turn.
Fu reached for his chips and slid out 11,200 which was called shortly after before the completed the board. Fu once again looked down at his chips. He took out 15,200 and splashed it into the middle which sent Kampanatsanyakorn into the tank. A minute passed before Kampanatsanyakorn then reached for his chips and slid in a raise to 40,000.
The bet was called almost instantly and Kampanatsanyakorn was left to table his for a pair of nines. Fu then joyfully rolled over his for two pair and the winning hand.
Kampanatsanyakorn's lead was short lived as he drops down to 113,000 in chips. Fu rockets up to 162,000 in chips with just under 30 minutes of play remaining.
