LIPS Prepares The Ladies for Poker
The Ladies International Poker Tour is giving the women of the poker world a chance to improve upon their game before their big day at the World Series Of Poker. Thanks to Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel and event partner GamingClubPoker.com, this LIPSTour event features a $5000 freeroll tournament and special guest host, two-time WSOP bracelet winner, Susie Issacs.
Downtown Las Vegas and the famous Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel, the WSOP's original home, will play host to this special event on Saturday June 25th.
On the eve of what is expected to be the largest field in history of the Ladies championship event at the WSOP, the LIPS freeroll is the perfect way for players to get some extra time at the tables before the big dance. And unlike the $1000 buy-in for the WSOP, the first 250 entrants will only have to pony up a $20 entry fee.
In addition to the $5000 that goes to the champion, there will be prize drawings throughout the day. Each player will receive an exclusively designed shirt from the LIPS Tour and Gaming Club Poker and a special commemorative card protector. There is also a special $5 bounty chip on every player in the tournament.
Bringing a touch of world class talent to the event is host Susie Issacs. Issacs is the first woman to win back-to-back Ladies world championships in 1996 and 1997 and she finished 10th in the 1998 WSOP Main Event, becoming only the second woman to achieve this feat.
Poker skills are not the only thing Issacs brings to the event. Her wit and insight has been featured in articles for Casino Player, Strictly Slots, Poker Digest, and Card Player Magazine. She has also published a book featuring her story, poker strategy, and interesting tales from the poker world, called MsPoker: Up Close and Personal. She is currently working on MsPoker: Up Close and Personal, Second Edition and will be available for autographs and photos from 9AM-10AM.
Those interested in entering should pre-register online at LIPSTOUR.com. With only 250 seats available, spots will be in high demand. Online registration will continue until the event is full or until June 19th at midnight. Pre-registered players must check in with the registration desk before 9:30AM on the day of the event. (Picture I.D. will be required). All remaining seats will be made available to the public.
