Harrah's Announces 2008-09 World Series of Poker Circuit Schedule
Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., owners of the World Series of Poker Circuit tour, has announced the schedule of events for the 2008-09 Circuit season. The '08-'09 Circuit series includes stops at ten different Harrah's properties, and will not visit any property more than once during the upcoming season.
New this year is the WSOP-C stop at Horseshoe Hammond, October 24 through November 2nd, 2008. It's the first time that a Circuit stop has been held in the greater Chicago area, and promises to host the largest poker tournament ever held in that market.
According to Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner of the World Series of Poker,"Playing World Series of Poker Circuit events is the best way to hone your live tournament poker skills in a friendly and competitive environment. We continue to fine tune the World Series of Poker Circuit schedule and structures to deliver poker players the best tournaments throughout the year."
In addition to the new Hammond stop, the tour also makes two visits to Atlantic City, two to Nevada (Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe), and one each to Harrah's properties in or near San Diego (Rincon), Tunica (Mississippi) Louisville (Elizabeth, Indiana), New Orleans, and Council Bluffs/Omaha (Iowa).
