Lineup Grows for Poker Battle Pre-launch
Poker Battle, the brand new poker "social networking" and high-end poker fashion brand, has added several more new faces to its official brand pre-launch on the Partouche Poker Tour in Cannes, France, September 2-7, 2008. The Poker Battle events are among the first of many that will see Europe become the focus of the poker world for the next several weeks, with the full brand launch coming during WSOP Europe festivities on September 27th.
Expected to attend the Cannes event are Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Phil Ivey, David Benyamine, Erica Schoenberg, pro gamer "Fatality," 2008 EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final champ Glen Chorny and 2008 WSOP PLO World Champion Nenad Medic. They'll join an extensive lineup of Poker Battle Pro Team Warriors, including David Williams, Noah Schwartz, David "Chino" Rheem, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, Rob Mizrachi, Eric Mizrachi, Evelyn Ng, Chad Brown, Vanessa Rousso, Tiffany Michelle, Joe Cassidy, Nam Le, Steve Sung, Jeff Madsen and Patryk Hildebranski. Separately, Poker Battle has also announced the addition of 2008 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. winner Scotty Nguyen to the Poker Battle lineup.
Led by noted French poker player and businessman Philippe Rouas, Poker Battle's social networking site promises to offer a complete lineup of entertaining poker content, including original reality-based shows featuring celebrities and poker players, game shows, online radio, podcasts, "available online only" fashions, sitcoms, and movies. Poker Battle has opened its new "state of the art Poker Battle World Headquarters and Broadcast Studios" in Las Vegas, which will also include a distribution center as its high-end fashion lines move forward. A Poker Battle Pro Tour remains on the calendar of events for 2009.
