The Nightly Turbo is bringing you the day's top news stories all in one place. A lot happened over the weekend, so maybe we'll throw a little of that in there too. We know you were too busy beating up on the fish to worry about what was going on.

Weekend Recap

Alright, we'll get the weekend stuff out of the way first.

The WPT Legends of Poker started on Saturday. We'll get to that in a bit.

The APT Macau crowned its champion on Sunday. Adrien Allain turned a $5 online satellite qualifier into $391,556 and the title of 2009 APT Macau Champion. Not a bad payday for the twenty-three year old from France. When asked how he felt after winning he replied, "I don't speak English." That's when APT CEO, Chris Parker stepped in and said, "That's ok. I'll make it up for you...he feels great!"

The EPT Kyiv also crowned a champion on Sunday. Russia's own,Maxim Lykov took off with the chip lead on Day 2 and never looked back. He won the first trophy of season six of the EPT and took home the 330,000 first prize for his efforts.

Randy Couture's charity poker tournament, Operation: All In took place at the Golden Nugget on Saturday. Despite being held the same day as Day 1 of the WPT Legends of Poker, quite a few pros showed up. Mike Sexton, Andy Bloch, Howard Lederer, and Erik Seidel were all on hand for this great cause. Among the silent auction items was a Phil Ivey signed Full Tilt jersey which seemed like it was going to go to Andy Bloch for about $600. Erik Seidel also came away from the auction with something; dinner for four with Randy Couture (this only set Seidel back $4k).

RawVegas.tv was there to talk to the players about the Hall of Fame, most seem to be in aggreance that Mike Sexton is very deserving of induction.

Legends of Poker

The WPT Legends of Poker Championship started Saturday at the Bicycle Casino in LA. Two hundred seventy-nine players entered the event. The turnout was much lower than last year's 373. Seventy-three players have made there way to Day 3 with November Niner, Steven Begleiter, leading the way with 426,100 chips. Prahlad Friedman is right behind him with 382,700.

The payout structure is much different that what people are used to. First place is more than double that of second place. Daniel Negreanu was asked about it in an interview on worldpokertour.com and said that with the turnout under 300 entrants, tournament directors upped the percentage for first from 37% to 38.4% so that first place would be over $1 million. It's good for marketing to have a tournament that pays over a million for first....and it's good for the first place finisher.

Jennifer Tilly's Birthday

What Would Tyler Durden Do is a snarky celebrity blog site that posts pictures of hot girls and pokes fun at all celebrities. Jennifer Tilly made the Morning Headlines. Her 51st birthday is in 3 weeks. She hardly looks in her fifties to us. Oh yea, Phil Laak makes a cameo in a few of the pics.
