The new PokerStars European Poker Tour High Roller champion is Matt Glantz, who won 542,000 after beating out a tough final table that included Team PokerStars Pros Dennis Phillips and Leo Fernandez.

Glantz, who is known for playing high stakes cash games at Borgata started heads up play against recent World Series of Poker Europe bracelet winner Erik Cajelais with a chip lead of 2,645,000 to 1,126,00. Things would not go his way in the early stages, and he relinquished the chip lead when Erik Cajelais doubled up holding A?Q? against Glantz's A?8?.

Glantz's luck would then turn when on a A?A?3? flop he and Casjelais got all the chips into the center. Glantz flipped over the J?8? which would need help against Cajelais' A?7?. The turn was no good for Glantz, but the river, the 5? completed Glantz's flush and put him back in the drivers seat. Glantz would end it a few hands later, when his A?2? hit an ace on the river to knock out Erik Cajelais in second place.

Here are the final results:

Matt Glantz - 542,000
Erik Cajelais - 326,000
Eugene Katchalov - 193,000
