UltimateBet and Absolute Poker are currently hosting the fifth installment of theUltimate Bet Online Poker Championship Series. The UBOC5 is a series of 20 tournaments offering a combined $4 million in guaranteed prize money. Two UBOC tournaments were scheduled to take place on Saturday,Event #18 $100 + $9 No-Limit with Unlimited Rebuys and Event #19 $300 + $20 8-Game Mix. The Mini-UBOC, which runs simultaneously with the UBOC and offers the same tournament at one-tenth the price, also served as an excellent option for those with a limited bankroll. The winner of each UBOC tournament not only received a nice payday, but a championship watch. In addition, anyone who eliminated a Team UB pro received $200 and a UBOC T-shirt.

The first event of the evening was Event #18 $100 + $9 No-Limit Hold��em Turbo with unlimited rebuys. The tournament had a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and drew 269 players who generated 322 rebuys and 406 add-ons. The final table saw Joseph ��JBLAZE20�� Chaplin (9th) and Michael ��RUSOSTREET�� Caruso (8th) make early exits, while Frank ��FBONACCI�� Bonacci and John ���CBLACKFOURS-�� May survived to do battle heads-up, with May ultimately claiming victory and the $26,000 first-place prize.

The Mini-UBOC Event #18 attracted 361 players, who subsequently made 419 rebuys and 468 add-ons. This created a prize pool of $12,480, which surpassed the $10,000 guarantee. The event was hosted by 7TEMPEHEAT7, who finished in 12th place, while Team UB pros Gary ��DEBO 34�� Debernardi (81st) and Mark ��Poker Ho�� Kroon (63rd) made deep runs but failed to make the money. At the end of the tournament, AQUADRAHT emerged victorious over I_FLOAT_YOU to become the Mini-UBOC5 Event #18 champion.

The second event on Saturday was Event #19 $300 + $20 8 Game Mix, which featured H.O.R.S.E., PLO, PLO8, and no-limit hold��em. Mark ��Poker Ho�� Kroon (226th) didn��t get the UB pros off to a good start; he was the first person eliminated from the tournament. Phil Hellmuth (201st), Gary ��DEBO 34�� Debernardi (156th), Michael Binger (119th),��Hollywood Dave�� Stann (75th) and Annie Duke (41st) fared a little better, but still couldn��t cash. On the other hand, Marc ��ULTIMATEMARC�� Gork put up the best UB pro performance in the UBOC5 by finishing in third place. His elimination left COLOBERRY and ZIKKZAKK to do battle in heads-up action, with COLOBERRY coming out on top and claiming the 28,000 first-place prize. On a side note, Kevin ��BEL0WAB0VE�� Saul (8th) and Brock ��MARIA NUCCIA�� Parker (7th) made final table runs, improving on their already impressive finishes in Event #18 earlier in the night.

UB pro Mark ��Poker Ho�� Kroon (256th) made an early exit while Gary ��DEBO 34�� Debernardi (26th) and ��Hollywood Dave�� Stann both performed well and cashed. In the end, it was 5557CHEVY defeating AHTNAMAS311 heads-up to take down the tournament and $2,192 first-place prize.
