At just after 11 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday night, Tom durrrr Dwan and Dan jungleman12 Cates sat down for a blink-and-youll-miss-it session of the durrrr Challenge. Playing six tables of $100/$200 no-limit holdem, Dwan and Cates played for only 20 minutes, Dwan departing with a $31,778 profit after 258 hands. Dwan has only made a tiny bit of headway in recovering the nearly $700,000 in losses he posted against Cates in their first two sessions. After 7,660 hands, he is still down $659,232.

There were no monsterpottens to report, but the session wasnt entirely devoid of action. The largest pot topped out at $90,395, Dwan leading off the action with a $1,200 raise from the button. Cates three-bet to $4,000 and Dwan called. Cates led out for $4,400, Dwan raised to $11,700 and Cates called. The 3? hit the turn and Cates checked to Dwan, who checked behind. The river brought the K? and Cates checked again. Dwan moved all-in for $29,498 into the $31,400 pot and Cates made the call. Dwan turned over 2?8? for the runner-runner flush and raked in the pot. You read that right. He called Cates pre-flop three-bet with deuce-eight, raised the flop with nothing, took the free card on the turn when he picked up a flush draw, and got paid off when he hit. Such is the life of durrrr.

Cates, however, was the one getting paid off in this $75,000 pot. He opened for $1,200, Dwan three-bet to $3,600 from the big blind and Cates called. Dwan bet $4,200 on the 9?4?3? flop and Cates came along. Dwan made it another $9,200 to go when the Q? fell on the turn and Cates made the call. The river was the Q? and Dwan checked to Cates, who moved all-in. Dwan called off his remaining $20,799, only to have Cates turn over A?Q? for trips.
