2011 World Series of Poker Day 8: Turker Leads in Event #8 and Papola Chases Second Bracelet
A strong field took the felt in the $1,500 Triple Chance No-Limit event on Day 8 of the 2011 World Series of Poker. Also, the money bubble was reached in each of the restarts. Finally, we now know the identity of the next woman to make a 2011 WSOP final table.
Event #8: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em
Day 3 of the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Event began with 59 players, all looking to make the final table. Jonathan Duhamel made a deep run but was eliminated early, falling in 54th place. Jon Turner took a slight chip lead into the final table, leading Sadan Turker by just 100,000.
Odette Tremblay became the second woman to make a final table at this year's WSOP. Unfortunately, her final table run ended in a ninth-place finish. Sadan Turker moved all-in pre-flop from the small blind and Tremblay made the call. She found herself in the lead with K?7? against Turker's J?5?. That lead didn't last long as the flop fell 5?2?2? to give Turker two pair. The turn and river both blanked for Tremblay, and her stellar run ended with a ninth-place finish and $49,258.
Ten levels were reached before this final table could be completed. Turker soared during the final table and will return with 7.9 million in chips. Sean Getzwiller will come back with 3 million, while Jon Turner is the short stack with 1.68 million. The final three will return at 1600 PDT (2300 GMT) on Wednesday and play to the bracelet.

Event #10: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em - Six Handed
Action was the name of the game early on Tuesday in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Six Max. In the first hour, the money bubble was burst and around 20 players were eliminated in the money. Eric Froehlich was the bubble boy. He moved all-in on a flop of J?3?2? with J?2? and was called by Marvin Rettenmaier with 4?5?. The turn brought the 4? and river the 4? to give Rettenmaier trip fours and leave Froehlich cashless.
After the initial bustouts, play returned to normal and players settled in for a long day of poker. By the end of Day 2, the field had shrunk from 188 to just 15 players. Those players will return on Wednesday and play for the bracelet. Jeffrey Papola takes the chip lead into Day 3 play. He won the $5,000 Six-Max bracelet last year and finished second in the $2,500 Six-Max. However, if he wants his second bracelet in this format of hold'em, he is going to have to take down a field that includes Ryan Welch and Anthony Spinella.

Event #11: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low Championship
Day 2 of the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship began with 164 players looking to make the final table. First, the money bubble had to be burst and that took nearly the entire day. The bubble boy of the event was Dan "djk123" Kelly. He put the last of his chips in at the turn on a board of 2?4?9?Q? and was called by Freddy Deeb. Kelly held A?A?9?10? for a single pair of aces while Deeb held A?3?5?9? for nines and an open-ended low straight draw. The 5? fell on the river to give Deeb the wheel and leave the remaining 27 players in the money.
The day finished with 22 players looking to take down this event. Guillaume Rivet leads the event with 809,000 with Alessio Isaia, Michael Chow, Richard Ashby, Mikael Thuritz, and Mike Sexton all still in contention. A bracelet will be awarded in this event on Wednesday. Action resumes at 1500 PDT (2200 GMT).

Event #12: $1,500 Triple Chance No-Limit Hold'em
The $1,500 Triple Chance No-Limit Hold'em Event drew a strong field of 1,340. Among those taking a shot in this event were Annette Obrestad, Liv Boeree, Maria Ho, Jonathan Duhamel, Gavin Griffin, Kara Scott, Beth Shak, T.J. Cloutier, Dutch Boyd, Tom Dwan, Scott Montgomery, Kathy Liebert, Carlos Mortensen and Isaac Haxton.
Peter Hernandez leads after Day 1 with 124,700 chips.J.C. Tran and Andy Black are also in the top 10. Only 160 players remained after the first, just 16 shy of the money. Players will return Wednesday to play to the money and the final table.

Four bracelets will be awarded Wednesday. The final three will play it out in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Event. Meanwhile, the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship, $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed, and $1,500 Triple Chance No-Limit Hold'em events will play to the final table and then the bracelet. Two new events will also get under wayl. The 1200 PDT (1900 GMT) event is the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout and the evening event is the $3,000 Limit Hold'em.
