After a September hiatus because of the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker, the biggest of the PokerStars Sunday Majors were back on the regular Sunday docket this weekend. Among the top stories to emerge on Sunday were WCOOP bracelet winner Marcel "p3rc4" Bjerkmann pocketing more than $200,000 for winning the Sunday Million and Dave "SexSeen" Sands making three final tables, which was impressive, but also booking a win in one of them. Joining Bjerkmann and Sands in the winners circle were Veronica "Princesa" Dabul, Caio "Pessagno" Pessagno, and McLean "PureProfitFo" Karr.

$200+$156,593$1,318,600

Fresh off winning a WCOOP bracelet in a $2,000 H.O.R.S.E. event one week ago, Marcel "p3rc4" Bjerkmann was showing off his skills in no-limit hold'em this weekend. Entering the final table second in chips, Bjerkmann looked to start October where left off in September. Sure enough, Bjerkmann made it to heads-up play against the original final table chip leader, "I7AXA." However, Bjerkmann was at about a 4:1 chip disadvantage to start the heads-up duel.

On the first hand, with the blinds and antes at the 300,000/600,000/60,000 level, Bjerkmann min-raised to 1,200,000. "I7AXA" three-bet, essentially setting Bjerkmann to a decision for the rest of his chips roughly 20 big blinds. Bjerkmann opted to go with it and tabled 8?8?. Facing his opponent's A?5?, Bjerkmann held through the K?J?10?3?6? to close the gap and eventually, take the lead. On the final hand, the chips went into the middle on an A?10?4?10? board. Bjerkmann tabled 10?9? and had "I7AXA's" J?6? drawing dead to claim the title.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up ($500K Guaranteed)

Buy-inEntrantsPrize Pool
$200+$153,249$649,800

Among the four tournaments back on the post-WCOOP Sunday schedule, the Sunday Warm-Up saw an increase of 88 players since it last ran in late August. Entering the final table with one-third of the chips in play was "JohnyK91." However, "JohnyK91" watched as both "schweinix" and "BoomBoomX" eliminated the rest of the table, leaving the three of them remaining.

In the end, "JohnyK91" finished in third place. Holding pocket aces "JohnyK91" got it in on a K?9?6? flop, but had fallen behind "schweinix's" K?9?. No help came for "JohnyK91" on the turn or river, leaving "schweinix" with a commanding 4:1 chip lead to begin heads-up play. "BoomBoomX" battled back to grab the chip lead briefly, but lost it with A?10? against "schweinix's" Q?Q?. No help came for "BoomBoomX," who was all-in preflop, leading "schweinix" to win it the next hand for $102,019.68.
