The Party
When many think of Berlin, things like the Berlin Wall and rich history spring to mind. Nowadays, the thought of the world's best nightclubs will spring to others. Berlin is famed for its music and the party atmosphere, particularly for young travelers.
Lonely Planet describes Berlin as a "cauldron of cultural cool reminiscent of New York in the 80s" with cafes and clubs jammed until the wee hours. So, the perfect way to begin this visual journey of previous EPT Berlin events is with the player party. Back in 2010, Gloria Balding snuck in with a VIP pass to show us all that we were missing.
The Sights
"Ecstatic, sexy, poor, decadent, entertaining, real, funny, and sad," are the adjectives used by This Berlin Life to describe Germany's capital. With a city so large, diverse, and intriguing, where does one start when going on a tour?
Last season, Laura Cornelius did a pretty good job at that, taking the PokerNews cameras on her own guide around the best spots in town, showing off just a tiny part of what Berlin has to offer.
The Knowledge
Annette Obrestad and Scott Montgomery, were put to the test on how much they knew about Germany via some word association. The result? They didn't know much at all. Although I have to admit, I wouldn't have done any better!
The Poker
Can't remember who won last season? Or who made the final table? Well, to wrap up this Video Vault, Laura Cornelius provides a handy recap of the results, along with some other highlights from throughout the tournament in 2011.
