The Sunday Briefing: Gambler4444 Wins PokerStars Sunday Million for $158,932
Online poker's biggest day of the week doesn't stop because there are massive live poker tournaments under way in Las Vegas. On Sunday, there were only two six-figure scores and they came from the winner and second-place finisher of the Sunday Million. "Gambler4444" took home the biggest prize, but there were a number of other players who padded their bankrolls with impressive scores. Keep reading to find out all the results from Sunday's biggest online poker tournaments on PokerStars.
PokerStars Sunday Million ($1M Guaranteed)

---|---|---|
$200+$15 | 5,080 | $1,016,000 |
While many of online poker's top pros are in Las Vegas gearing up for the World Series of Poker Main Event, there were still enough grinders to meet the $1 million guarantee in the PokerStars Sunday Million. Zachary "HustlerGrune" Gruneberg (74th - $1,392) and Michael "RichieRichZH" Friedrich (89th - $1,259) were among the notables who made deep runs, but when the dust settled we were left with several unknowns looking to make big scores at the final table.
The final table began with two players way out in front of the rest of the pack. RebuyShark (1,454,4133 in chips) and Gambler4444 (1,398,8843) had more than two-thirds of the chips in play combined, so it was no surprise that the two big stacks were left playing heads up for the title. Gambler4444 held a sizable lead and, on the final hand of the match, both players flopped top pair of queens and got their chips in the middle, but Gambler4444's king kicker held up. He scooped the title and the top prize of $158,932.
The victory served as redemption for Gambler4444. The SuperNova VIP player also made the final table of the Sunday Million in January but fell short in fourth place.
