All-American Dave

If you've visited the World Series of Poker in recent years, you've probably heard about All American Dave who is "cleaning up" the cuisine in many poker players' lives. Dave Swanson's popular food truck is located just outside the Amazon Room, so players can walk to get their dinner or even have it delivered to them at the poker table. Each of Dave's meals are well balanced, healthy and delicious. One of his chicken dishes is even named after Antonio Esfandiari.

Lynn Gilmartin joined Swanson at his food truck to find out why his meals are so loved, and how you can "clean up" your meals at home.

Poker Kitchen

If you don't want to travel far to get food, the Poker Kitchen is conveniently located inside the Rio Convention Center. Every player, staff member, dealer, and media rep will find themselves eating in the Poker Kitchen from time to time and the good news is that there are some pretty healthy meals available there including salads, sushi, fruit, and grilled chicken. You can also find typical fast-food favorites like pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, as well as every snack and soda you could desire.

All-American Bar and Grille

Not to be confused with All American Dave, the All-American Bar and Grille is located inside the Rio casino. The restaurant's name speaks for itself, featuring American bar menu staples like burgers, steaks, fries. The chefs prepare all steaks, burgers and fresh seafood on the open mesquite wood grill. There's also a sports bar if you need a drink to take the edge off.

Buzios Seafood Restaurant

Buzios Seafood Restaurant can be found next to the Rio pool entrance, not far from the poker tables at the WSOP. The casual setting is great for players looking to relax and enjoy their favorite seafood options and there are plenty. House signatures include the Pacific swordfish piccata and macadamia crusted tilapia, and of course you can also find seasonal specialties like crab, lobster and pasta dishes on the menu.

Green and Proteins

If you decide to go "off campus" for dinner, there are dozens of options within a short drive from the Rio. Now that the health craze has hit the poker community, one of the popular dining options is Greens and Proteins which offers all of your favorites (sandwiches, pizza, burgers) with a "healthy twist." Located less than 15 minutes from the Rio, this is one of the go-to spots for many poker players during their dinner breaks.
