ANZPT Announces First Three Dates for Season 6 Schedule
Season 5 of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) is coming to a close this week in Queenstown, but the tour is already making big plans for its sixth season. On Monday, the tour announced three confirmed dates for Season 6, beginning with the NZ$2,200 ANZPT Auckland Main Event from Nov. 20-24, 2013, at the SKYCITY Auckland Casino.
The tour will also make a trip to Perth in late February for the AU$2,200 ANZPT Perth Main Event at Crown Perth. A month later, The Star Casino in Sydney will play host to the AU$2,200 ANZPT Sydney Main Event.
Once again the ANZPT will be offering points at each event which contribute toward the Player of the Year leader board. The prize for the ANZPT Player of the Year is sponsorship into four Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) events. The Player of the Year runner-up wins sponsorship to four ANZPT events.
In Season 5 the ANZPT travelled to Melbourne, Auckland, Perth, Sydney and Queenstown. The PokerNews Live Reporting team is currently on site covering the season finale in Queenstown, so be sure to follow all of the updates right here.
