Caribbean Poker Tour

In November, the Caribbean Poker Tour will launch in Punta Cana with seven events headlined by the William Hill Poker Open, a $1,500 no-limit holdem event. Later in the month, the tour will head over to neighboring St. Maarten for a dozen more events, including a World Poker Tour main event and the Lucky Number 7 High Roller, hosted by German pro Tobias Reinkemeier.

Players canqualify for CPT events online with iPoker, the tours main sponsor, or William Hill, Betfair, Winner Poker, Titan Poker, Gala Poker or Win2day.be. Three packages are up for grabs, including the Ultimate Caribbean Package (17 days worth 7,500), the St. Maarten Experience (10 days worth 5,000), and the Punta Cana Experience (seven days for 4,000).

The CPT is the holiday of a lifetime with poker included, CEO Leon Groenewoud told PokerNews. This is an opportunity to take your friends and family with you, and they will love it. With each package you will play at least two tournaments, and you dont need any money for food or drinks. With our adventure vouchers you can choose the activities youve always wanted to try.

Among the activities offered at the two resorts, Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort Spa & Casino and Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino, are swimming with dolphins, deep sea fishing, and catamaran sailing.

There is another way to escape to the beautiful Caribbean this November win the Crazy Video Contest. Using their Facebook Page, the CPT will be looking for two-minute YouTube or Vimeo videos that are funny, entertaining or crazy. Videos can be submitted until Aug. 9, and the voting will officially begin on Sept. 9. On Sept. 30, the CPT will announce the top six vote earners, who will then make a second video. The winner of the second round will bank a one-week trip to the Caribbean from Nov. 7-14.
