It didn't take long for a big name to find the winner's circle in the 2013 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker. Toby "810ofclubs" Lewis, fresh off his victory in the FTOPS High Roller Event last month, took down Event #6 of the 2013 WCOOP for $189,379 late Monday night.

Lewis outlasted a field of 2,090 players in the $215+R No-Limit Hold'em Turbo event, and bested a tough final table that included Russell "rdcrsn" Carson, Kenny "LoneHixx" Hicks, and Sergi "srxakgirona" Reixach, a fellow Brit whom Lewis defeated heads-up. After just four hours of play in the turbo format, Lewis and Reixach negotiated a deal which resulted in Lewis securing $174,379 and Reixach locking up $169,300, with $15,000 still on the table for the winner.

According to the PokerStars Blog, Lewis and Reixach exchanged the chip lead a couple times before Lewis was able to claim victory. On the final hand, Reixach min-raised the button to 1 million, Lewis moved all in, and Reixach called for his tournament life.

Lewis: A?8?
Reixach: K?J?

The board ran out A?Q?8?8?2? to give Lewis the winning full house and his first gold and diamond WCOOP bracelet.

The two players took to Twitter immediately following their match.

Another Brit who found WCOOP success on Monday was Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree, who reached the final table of Event #5 ($320 6-Max Shootout). Boeree was one of three players from the U.K. who made the final table, but it was a fellow countryman who sent her packing in fifth place.

According to the PokerStars Blog, Boeree min-raised to 160 from under the gun with A?Q?, and "Aduobe4" three-bet to 370 directly behind with K?J?. Only Boeree called, and the flop rolled out Q?10?2?. Boeree check-called a bet worth 420, and the 4? appeared on the turn. She checked again, and "Aduobe4" bet 955. Boeree called, and the A? landed on the river. Boeree checked her two pair, and "Aduobe4" put her all in. Boeree called and discovered that her opponent had rivered a straight, sending her to the rail with $15,552 for her fifth-place result.

"Aduobe4" went on to win the tournament outright after eliminating "carlos_084" in heads-up play, securing a second title for the U.K. in the first two days of the 2013 WCOOP. After Tom Middleton's victory in the recent European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event, this is setting up to be a huge month for the Brits.
