D��thi��re Wins France Poker Series Paris; Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier Finishes Fourth
The �1,000+100 buy-in PokerStars France Poker Series 3 Paris came to a conclusion on Saturday, and topping the massive 818-player field was France��s own [Removed:225]. D��thi��re defeated Fangzhong Yang heads up, earning �153,000 and the FPS trophy.
Yang earned �102,000 for his efforts.
D��thi��re��s previous largest score came in 2010, when he finished third in a Barriere Poker Tour event for �14,500. He now has over $360,000 in career tournament earnings.
Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand ��ElkY�� Grospellier, who sits atop the French all-time money list, finished fourth, earning �52,500.

According to the PokerNews.fr Live Reporting Team, Grospellier started the final day second in chips, while D��thi��re was in the middle of the pack. On the very first hand of the final table, Grospellier eliminated Fran?ois Creignou, and a few hands later Yang busted Sandra Modestine. Modestine was all in and at risk with the A?K? on a flop of K?7?10?. Yang held the A?5? for an ace-high flush draw, and the turn and river both produced fives to give him trips.
Philippe Pertuisot exited in seventh place, and he too fell at the hands of Grospellier. The money went in on a flop of K?Q?8?, with Pertuisot holding the A?Q? and Grospellier the J?10?. The A? on the turn gave ElkY a Broadway straight, but Pertuisot was still drawing live �� any ace or queen would give him a full house. The 7? bricked off on the river, however, and Grospellier raked in the pot.
The Team PokerStars Pro recorded a third knockout a few hands later, when Thanh Huynh moved all in for his last 1.5 big blinds with the 10?2?. Grospellier called with the Q?6?, and won as the flop, turn, and river came 9?6?8?4?K?.
It was then Yang��s turn to send a player packing, and Kevin Montagne was the victim. Montagne exited in fifth place, earning �41,500, when he moved all in with 10x9x on a nine-high flop. Unfortunately for him, Yang held Ax9x, and Montagne was unable to catch up.
After losing a handful of pots, Grospellier found himself with the shortest stack, and with the blinds at 50,000/100,000/10,000, he four-bet all in for around 2 million. D��thi��re, the three-bettor, found a call with the Q?10?, which Grospellier had crushed with the J?J?. The dealer spread 3?10?8?, giving D��thi��re top pair and a flush draw, and the K? spiked onto the felt on the turn. A meaningless 6? completed the board, and just like that Grospellier was eliminated.
Julien Kron was unable to spin his short stack up during three-handed play, and was eliminated when he moved all in preflop and both Yang and D��thi��re called. There was furious side-betting as the board came 3?9?6?K?2?, and Yang won the hand with the A?10? for a flush. D��thi��re was second best with the 6?6? for a set of sixes, while Kron was forced to show his Q?J? before exiting.
On the final hand, all of the money went in preflop with D��thi��re holding the A?Q? to Yang��s A?8?. The dominant hand held up as the board ran out K?2?Q?6?10?, and D��thi��re was crowned champion.
The FPS Final is scheduled for Jan. 22-26 at Casino Barri��re in Deauville France.
