The Heartland Poker Tour has announced the first four stops of their Season X schedule, which is expected to be comprised of at least two dozen stops. The new season will kick off on January 12, 2014 with the HPT on the High Seas with Card Player Cruises, a seven-day cruise aboard Royal Caribbeans Freedom of the Seas.

The cruise will depart from Port Canaveral, located near Orlando, Florida and will feature an HPT Main Event, qualifying events, multiple side tournaments, and cash games, along with plenty of sun, sand, and surf.

We wanted a big start for our milestone year, so we looked to some of our biggest success stories of 2013 to lead the way, said HPT Director of Operations Jen Mastrud.

One week later, the HPT will return to California for stops at Thunder Valley Casino Resort from January 17-26. The HPT first visited the state in 2013 with the Gold Rush Series, which produced some of the biggest events in HPT history.

They delivered everything one would expect from a first-class property and more, said Mastrud on the Thunder Valley Casino Resort, which accommodated about twice as many players as originally projected.

From there, it is on to the Club One Casino in Fresno from January 31-February 10.

They won over players like we've never seen before, Mastrud explained. Many players have told us they wont miss the next visit to Club One Casino.

From February 7-16, the Golden Gates Casino & Poker Parlour in Black Hawk, Colorado will host the HPT for the 16th time. The Rocky Mountains set the stage for HPTs most popular event each year with prize pools topping a million dollars.

More events will be announced in the coming weeks as HPT and host properties finalize regulatory approval.
