One Lucky Winner to Face Gus Hansen for $100k at the Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle

In less than a week's time, 11 Full Tilt Poker players from the CIS and Baltic regions will lock horns with some of their region's best-known talent in a special televised live tournament called the Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle.

Since Oct. 7, players have been competing in freeroll and real money satellites at Full Tilt Poker in the hope of winning a $3,000 package to the exclusive live event where Full Tilt Poker is guaranteeing over $150,000 in prizes will be won, and one lucky player could face off against Gus Hansen in a heads-up battle for an additional $100,000!

The qualifiers are now completed, save for a Grand Final that takes place on Nov. 16 at Full Tilt Poker. The winner of the Grand Final will head to Kiev with the other 11 online qualifiers to compete in one of six deepstack six-max sit-and-go tournaments. Each of the six-handed tables features two online qualifiers and four seasoned pros �� such as Sergey Ribachencko, Konstantin Puchkov, Oleksii Kovalchuk, Dominykas Karmazinas and Andrey Zaichenko �� who battle it out for one of the top two finishing positions. The second-place finisher banks $6,000 while the winner of each sit-and-go wins $12,000 and a place in the Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle final.

All six winners then sit down at a $50,000 guaranteed final table where the winners receives $35,000 and the right to take on Gus Hansen in a heads-up series with a whopping $100,000 on the line! The runner-up in the final earns $15,000 for their efforts. Hansen is looking forward to taking on the tournament��s champion, but is full of confidence and thinks he will run out as the overall winner:

��This should be a great event with a lot of talented poker players. I have a lot of Russian friends in Kiev, and I look forward to making some new ones during the show, that is, if they forgive me after I beat them all.��

Only players from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus , Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Armenia, Tajikistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova were eligible for this promotion.

The televised show takes place at the Kreschatyk Poker Club in Kiev from Nov. 18 to Nov. 27 and will be aired in Russia (TV3) and Ukarain (Mega TV) in early 2014.
