The Sunday Briefing: Scott Clements Wins $100,000 Online While Playing Live Tournament

Scott Clements took the term "multi-tabling" to another level on Sunday. The two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner participated in a full slate of online tournaments on his iPad while he was playing Day 1b of the WSOP Circuit Main Event in Vancouver. And although he busted in his live tournament, he managed to book more than $100,000 in earnings on the virtual felt.

Clements took down the PokerStars Hotter $55 ($26,345) and the PokerStars Sunday 500 ($74,790) on Nov. 3, doing so while seated at a poker table inside the River Rock Casino and Resort in Vancouver. Those victories brought his total to three for the weekend; he also won a $100 rebuy at PokerStars on Saturday while playing a pot-limit Omaha event at River Rock at the same time!

In other tournament news over the weekend, PokerStars held a massive $55 Red Spade Open event which attracted more than 32,500 players, generating a prize pool of $1,627,900. The winner of that tournament was Poland's "bartasPL" for $163,933, but the biggest earner was "Agrobot_388Z" who collected $225,689 after a five-way deal at the final table.

In Nevada, the inaugural WSOP.com Online Championships came to a close with the conclusion of the $215 Main Event. The tournament attracted 466 players and, after $75,000 was added to the prize pool by the WSOP, a total of $168,000 was up for grabs. The eventual winner was "Immervinn20" who took home $41,000 �� the largest prize awarded in Nevada since online poker was legalized this year.
