PokerNews Live Reporting to Debut on MSPT at Running Aces in February
The PokerNews Mid-States Poker Tour will be back at one of the tour's favorite venues in February to kick off Season 5 �� Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus, Minnesota. Just a half hour from the Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport and 20 minutes north of the metro area, Running Aces is one of the top Midwest card rooms with a variety of games and some remarkable player promotions.
Running Aces has become widely known for its player promotions, including aces cracked, money added to tournaments and $10 per hour paid to players in cash for most poker games based on the number of hours played. The tournament will take place in a beautiful atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows and table service for meals and drinks.
The MSPT event at Running Aces will be the first to feature PokerNews Live Reporting. From there, our Live Reporting Team be at each MSPT stop to capture all the action from Season 5 and report it to the public via our state-of-the-art live blog.

Last year's winner, Running Aces Team Pro David Gonia from White Bear Lake, MN, will be back to defend his title. Gonia took home $93,940 by outlasting 367-runners last February, which generated a massive prize pool of $367,000!
Satellites and qualifiers for the Main Event will start on Feb. 8, 2014, and run daily through Feb. 15. The Main Event will have two starting days: Day 1a on Friday, Feb. 14, and Day 1b on Saturday, Feb. 15. Both days will start at 5 p.m. CST. Day 2 will start at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Event planners expect the final table to be reached at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday evening. The final table will broadcast right here on PokerNews with a 15-minute delay allowing viewers at home to see every players�� hole cards.
