Poker Night in America (PNIA) hasly previous filmed events at Turning Stone Casino, near Syracuse, NY; the Peppermill in Reno, NV; and the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, PA. Now, in partnership with Maryland Live! Casino, PNIA will create the first-ever televised poker tournament in the State of Maryland.

PNIA will actually film two poker events at Maryland Live! Casino the $1 Million Live! Poker Classic Main Event final table and an invitation-only cash game. The former is actually a part of a nine-event series to be held March 10-24. Click here for the full schedule.

On Tuesday, March 25, the invitation-only cash game will host two sessions, both of which will be recorded for television. Among those committed to playing are 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Greg Merson; Parx Poker ambassador Matt Glantz; 2009 WSOP runner-up Darvin Moon; Ultimate Poker's Danielle Andersen; poker pro Christian Harder; and WSOP bracelet winner Gavin Smith.

PNIA, owned and operated by Rush Street Productions, launched last year and aims to be a game changer for poker on television by making their broadcast "part game show, part sporting event, part reality television" by focusing on the players and personalities of the game. PNIA's television debut is set to take place on April 27, 2014 on an unnamed national cable network and Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic.

"Theres lots of breaking news ahead, including a major announcement coming up about when and where the new show will air," said the PNIA's Nolan Dalla in his blog. "I know many poker players and fans are eager to see what were doing, and the debut show should get a lot of people talking. We hope and expect this to be a real game-changer."
