Newhouse and Pappas Join Politano On Team 888poker for WSOP Main Event Final Table
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, 888poker announced that Mark Newhouse and William "Billy Pappas" Pappaconstantinou will join Bruno Politano as representatives for Team 888poker for the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event final table.
Politano became the first Brazilian player to reach the November Nine and has been representing 888poker as an ambassador all over the world during the off months, with stints playing in both Europe and Australia during that time. Politano will bring the shortest stack to the final table when play resumes on Nov. 10, but he is highly expected to have the largest and most boisterous crowd of the bunch, as predicted by PokerNews staff of experts.
Newhouse has made the remarkable feat of reaching the final table in back-to-back years, first doing so in 2013 from a field of 6,352 competitors and then again this year from a field of 6,683 players. The chances of that are a mind-boggling 1 in 524,079. Last year, Newhouse was the first player eliminated in ninth place, but this year he is much more confident and has a much larger stack to work with. Many like his chances to finish very high up.
Pappas, unlike Newhouse and the other competitors at the final table, is the only true amateur who has reached the November Nine this year., but he has plenty of experience winning world championships. Pappas is a world champion foosball player with over 100 titles to his credit.
The trio of 888poker-sponsored players will take their seats for the culmination of this grand event on Monday, Nov. 10, and the cards will be in the air at 4:30 p.m. Las Vegas time. They will be joined by Jorryt van Hoof, Felix Stephensen, Dan Sindelar, William Tonking, Martin Jacobson, and Andoni Larrabe to battle it out for poker's most prestigious gold bracelet and the $10 million first-place prize.
