EPT Malta 2015 Schedule

With the first leg of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 12 only weeks away, PokerStars has announced the full schedule of one of the most awaited events in the calendar, EPT Malta.

Set to run from Oct. 20-31 at the Portomaso Casino in Saint Julian's, Malta, the second EPT to ever be organized on the island will try to replicate last year's impressive success, when the 5,300 Main Event alone dragged a field of 895 to the tables and generated an impressive 4,340,750 prize pool.

Although the second EPT Malta in 2015 will no longer benefit from novelty events such as the Global Poker Masters or the European Poker Conference, PokerStars will host a rich calendar of events that is guaranteed to offer exciting action to anyone walking through the casino door. Once again combined with the Italian Poker Tour (IPT) stop in the country, the 2015 EPT Malta features an impressive schedule of 76 events, raising the bar from the past editions 69 events.

At the upcoming EPT Barcelona, players will get the chance to compete in 69 events as well.

Besides the 5,300 Main Event set to kick off on Oct. 25, EPT Malta also features a number of marquee events like the 1,100 IPT Main Event (Oct. 21-25), the 25,000 High Roller (Oct. 23-25), the 10,000 Single-Day High Roller (Oct. 26), and the 10,300 High Roller (Oct. 29-31).

Players seeking lower buy-ins will also get their fair share of side action in tournaments like the 330 Malta Poker Cup (Oct. 21-25), or in less common events like the 550 Quintuple Stud tournament running on Oct. 24.

The most unusual part of the event's schedule, however, is the full day that PokerStars decided to devote to a Halloween celebration that promises to bring a lot of fun to the tables.

On Oct. 31, the EPT Malta will host a special Happy Halloween day, where tournaments like the 330 Not Your Mummies Turbo Main Event, the 2,150 6-Handed Terrifying Transylvanian Turbo, and the 120 Haunted Hyperturbo will run alongside the Main Event's and High Roller's final days.
