Manig Loeser Takes partypoker WPT National Rozvadov for �76,000
Manig Loeser won the partypoker World Poker Tour National Rozvadov for �76,000. He topped a field of 374 entries, which included 62 reentries, in the �1,100 tournament that took place at King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
Loeser defeated Jeffrey Brouwer of Netherlands heads up, with the latter taking home �53,000 for his efforts. Sebastian Kos got third for �34,000, Marius Kaiser fourth for �25,395, and Michael Goossens rounded out the top five for �19,046.

Discussions about German poker will nearly always gravitate towards the generation of young superstars who have taken the no-limit hold'em high roller circuit by storm in the past few years. And while Ole Schemion, Fedor Holz, Tobias Reinkemeier, and the rest of their ilk deservedly get plenty of plaudits, Loeser has earned some recognition as well. He has now put together a five-year live resume that totals $1,552,715 in winnings, good for 24th among Germans.
The win is Loeser's fourth-biggest score in the live arena. It trails two deep World Series of Poker runs and a runner-up finish in a ��1,650 Main Event of the 2011 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour that paid $108,512.
His WSOP successes both almost resulted in bracelet wins. In 2013, Loeser nearly nabbed his first bracelet in Event #4: $1,500 Six-Max No-Limit Hold'em but wound up second to John Beauprez for $200,698. That final table also included Eric Blair, Joe Cada, and Keven Stammen. The next summer, Loeser had another near miss, finishing third in Event #49: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $288,912. Notable runners at that final table: Norbert Szecsi, Oliver Price, Kevin MacPhee, Jean Gaspard, John Dolan, Blake Bohn, and eventual champ David Miscikowski.
Expect to hear more from the young German in the near future if he keeps grinding it out on the international circuit.
As for the WPT National tour, which brings "WPT-caliber tournaments at a variety of buy-in levels across the world," eight events still remain on the schedule for 2015, including stops in Austria, China, and Georgia. The next one begins Sept. 14 at Paradise Casino at Jeju Grand Hotel in South Korea.
