888Live Series Begins in Tallinn; Online Site 888poker Boosts Sunday Guarantees
The third leg of the 888Live, the live tournament series organized by 888poker, is about to heat up in Tallinn, Estonia, which will inevitably lead to a weekend of fun, culture, and poker.
Created by 888poker to combine a low buy-in live event with fun and cultural activities, the event in Tallinn started with a welcome cocktail and a VIP party on Wednesday night followed by a cultural tour of Estonia's capital on Thursday.
After two days of sightseeing and partying, the players are slated to head to Olympic Casino located in the Radisson Hotel Olympia this Friday to take part in what is now considered to be one of the best live events for beginners and recreational players alike.
The 888live events are all about giving people a truly unique experience.
With a buy-in set at $550 and a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000, the two-day Main Event running over the weekend is sure to attract a crowd of players from both Estonia and neighboring countries. To make the event even more special and to add more value to the tournament, 888 decided to introduce some special bounties and distribute a number of cool prizes like an iPhone 6 and GoPro cameras.
"This year, we decided to organize four 888live events," 888LIVE Events Operations Manager Mouhcine Jalili told PokerNews. "We have already held one in Austria called 'Poker on Ice' in January, and one in Marbella, Spain in April. In September we [are] in Tallinn for a third one - and in December it will be time for a Grand Finale that I can already promise you will be an event to remember."
"The 888live events are all about giving people a truly unique experience that features much more than 'just a poker tournament,'" Jalili continued. "In a way, you could even say that poker is almost a secondary aspect in the 888live experience."
"We want people to have a great time. I am not talking only about those who play - but also about those who come in with the players. Some people come to our events because they want to have a nice time with their friends or their partner, and it's our duty to make sure that they leave happy and with the feeling that they found what they were looking for."
