2015 WSOP Europe Day 15: MacPhee Leads Final Table; Lichtenberger & Alvarado There
Day 4 of the 2015 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event a tournament that attracted 313 entries and created a prize pool of 3,067,400 saw 21 players return to the Spielbank Berlin to play down to the final table of six.
Kevin MacPhee, who started the day as the chip leader, used his big stack to maintain his position after 15 players took their leave. In fact, MacPhee was able to increase his stack five fold, and as a result take a huge chip lead into the final table. To put his 5.015 million in perspective, it's more than 2:1 over his next closest competitor, Andrew Lichtenberger; nearly 5:1 over JC Alvarado, who sits in third place; and more than 10:1 over the other three players.

2 | [Removed:172] | 435,000 |
3 | JC Alvarado | 1,070,000 |
4 | Felix Bleiker | 215,000 |
5 | Andrew Lichtenberger | 2,135,000 |

According to updates from the event, online pro Ola "Odd_Oddsen" Amundsgard was the first to go, and he was followed out the door by the WSOP's youngest player to win three bracelets, Dominik Nitsche, who fell after his J?10? failed to get there against the A?Q? of Ozgur Arda.
After former PCA champ Dimitar Danchev exited in 19th place for 23,500, the eliminations came fast and furious. Among those to fall short of the final table were Robert Zipf (18th - 23,500), Arda (17th - 23,500), Adrien Allain (16th - 28,700), Dzmitry Urbanovich (15th - 28,700), Pierre Chevalier (14th - 36,000), Ardit Kurshumi (13th - 36,000), Conor Beresford (12th - 46,000), and Enver Abduraimov (11th - 46,000).
With 10 players remaining, Nikolaus Teichert raised under the gun only to have MacPhee defend from the big. The Q?J?5? flop saw MacPhee bet, Teichert raise, and MacPhee three-bet to approximately 200,000. Teichert then shoved for 560,000 and MacPhee called.
Teichert: A?2?
MacPhee: Q?J?
MacPhee was ahead with top two, but Teichert was drawing live to a spade. Unfortunately for him, it never came as the A? blanked on the turn followed by the 8? river.
Once the unofficial final table of nine was set, three more eliminations had to occur before the end of Day 4. Germany's Johannes Becker (10th - 60,000) was the first to go, and Spain's Mario Sanchez (8th - 75,000) followed him out the door a short time later. That set up the official final table bubble, and in Level 24 (15,000/30,000/5,000), David Lopez raised to 65,000 from the button and MacPhee three-bet to 160,000 from the small blind.
Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel then four-bet to 350,000 from the big, Lopez folded, and MacPhee five-bet to 760,000. Seidel opted to shove for 1.65 million, and MacPhee snapped him off with the A?A?, which was well ahead of the eight-time bracelet winner's A?K?. The board ran out dry, and Seidel fell in seventh place for 100,000.
