Partypoker NJ Revamps Its Loyalty Program 0001

Partypoker NJ recently rolled out Loyalty 2.0, a revamped VIP program for its players in the Garden State effective Oct. 1, 2015.

While how points are earned on the felt will remain the same with two points for every dollar in rake, the biggest change in the loyalty program for players in New Jersey relate to the point requirements needed to reach each loyalty level. As players move up loyalty levels, the potential rewards available to them are greater.

Smaller stakes and recreational players should be pleased with the fact that it is now much easier to to move from the default Bronze level to next-lowest Silver level. Previously, players were required to earn 250 points in a calendar month. Now players need to earn just 20 percent of that amount, or 50 points in a calendar month to achieve this level.

However, players with a more steady amount of volume will find it harder to hit loyalty levels they were previously used to. Players will need to need to earn 50-percent more points to hit the Gold level and need to double the amount of points they previously earned to achieve the Platinum level. Additionally, the Platinum Elite level was completely eliminated.

In addition to these changes, partypoker NJ reduced the price on many items in the store, along with adding some brand new items. You can check out what the threshold changes, along with the new maximum rewards are per level below:

*Loyalty levelOld points requirementNew points requirementMaximum Rewards
Bronze0 points0 points6.7%
Silver250 points per month50 points per month15.4%
Gold500 points per month750 per month20.5%
Palladium1,000 points per month2,000 per month30.7%
Palladium Elite10,000 points per quarterNo Longer Availablen/a

Another minor change to the program is for casino games, with the new program awarding one point for every $25 wagered. Under the old scheme, points were easier to come by with players earning a point for every $10 wagered.

To help players become acclimated with the new loyalty program, partypoker NJ is hosting a special $10,000 freeroll on Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. local time, open to any players that purchase an item in the VIP store during October.

It appears these changes will be good for some and worse for others. If you play regulated online poker in New Jersey, please let us know what you think in the comments section below.
