It was another big weekend for online poker players in New Jersey with online tournament players appearing in huge numbers.
The partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee attracted 313 entrants to generate a $62,600 - the biggest in recent memory for this tournament. Justin "Pocketprofits" Wong took advantage of huge turnout and won the tournament for a top prize of $11,712. "LadyToin17" also scored big in the tournament by taking second place for $8,087, while "BoDoesKnow" secured $5,759 for his third-place finish.
Meanwhile, over in the WSOP.com/888poker NJ Sunday $30,000 Guarantee, "donkleader" managed to outlast the 153-player field to win $8,100. For the second time in as many weeks, this tournament featured some overlay with players that cashed able to bank an additional $585 in added value.
Many well-known New Jersey online poker players were featured on the final table in the tournament including Kevin "yellowsnow" Campbell (3rd - $2,700), Anthony "Flawlessbink" Maio (4th - $2,100), Kevin "nowitsover" Truong (6th - $1,500), and Maureen "HotRedMomma" Ludwig (9th - $510).
