Schedule Released for the Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza
The schedule is out for the Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza that will be held at the Casino de Monte-Carlo from Oct. 13-17, 2016. There will be several different poker tournaments and satellites, but the satellites will be for recreational players only after Cirque du Soleil and One Drop founder Guy Lalibert�� announced the event would be by invitation only for businessmen, philanthropic, and celebrity recreational players.
The �1,000,000 Big One for One Drop event will begin on Friday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. local time. This will be a three-day event with 45-minute levels and unlimited reentry allowed until the start of Day 2, which is 12 p.m. local time on Saturday, Oct. 15. Players begin with 5,000,000 in starting chips and the first level will be 6,000/12,000/1,000. On Day 3, the level time will be increased to 60 minutes.
On Thursday, Oct. 13, there will be three step tournaments starting at �10,000 for Step 1. Step 2 will have a buy-in of �50,000, and Step 3 will have a buy-in of �250,000. All three will be super-turbo formats, taking place at 10 a.m., 3 p.m., and 8 p.m., respectively.
Other events on the schedule include a few different �10,000 buy-in events, both in no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha, and then bigger no-limit hold'em tournaments with buy-ins of �25,000 and �100,000.
On Sunday, Oct. 16, there will be a �50,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em event.
