ARIA will host Poker Central's third Super High Roller Bowl May 28 through June 1, a tournament the American Poker Awards dubbed "Event of the Year."

888 serves as the official sponsor for its second year; thus, one of its ambassadors, Dominik Nitsche, is looking forward to the event.

"Im very excited to play; its a lot of fun, Nitsche told Kara Scott, another 888poker ambassador and hostess of the Super High Roller Bowl. Basically, its just a home game of all our friends."

Nitsche said the fact that everyone already knows each other makes for a more inviting atmosphere.

"The atmosphere is probably going to be quite relaxed at first, but I can imagine it getting quite tense at the end simply because its a $300,000 buy-in, and thats a lot of money," he said.

The $300,000 buy-in tournament is limited to 56 entrants with a $16,800,000 prize pool. The winner will take $6,000,000 and a championship ring.

Players start with 300,000 in chips and play 75-minute levels. Players will receive five 60-second time banks to accompany the use of the 30-second shot clock at the tables. No hoodies or sunglasses are allowed.

Given that there is no rake, Nitsche may consider selling some of his action to reduce risk.

Nitsche is a three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and LAPT champion who has over $6.5 million in tournament earnings. He only recently got into high rollers, but has had success in the ARIA Super High Roller 9 (second, $629,808), the UKIPT5 Dublin 2,000 High Roller (first, $176,177) and the EPT12 Dublin 10,000 High Roller (second, $156,916).

Ive done a lot of work on my poker game recently, and I feel like I even have an edge over some of the pros in the field, so Im pretty confident this year," he told 888. "Ill do well in it, I think.
