Michael Dietrich

Winning the PokerStars Sunday Million is no longer a pipe dream for Canada's Mike Dietrich after he came out on top of a 5,948-strong field to secure the title and $142,031 in prize money.

Dietrich, who plays as "Pipedream17" at PokerStars, is no stranger to winning major online poker tournaments, having taken down the likes of the now defunct Sunday Mulligan at Full Tilt for $133,000 and the Sunday 500 at PokerStars for $91,500. This latest score, however, is the largest of Dietrich's career and pushes him through the $7 million in online winning's barrier according to PocketFives.com.

A heads-up deal between Dietrich and runner-up Rytis "RichieA7s" Praninskas of Lithuania saw the former collect $142,031 and the latter a still impressive $131,300.

Another tournament that ended with a heads-up chop was the $1,050 Sunday Grand. Some 205 players bought into this event and when there were only two players remaining, a deal was struck between China's "lsy347422126" and Canada's "12u55" that saw both players walk away with $35,531; 12u55 collected one cent more to be deemed champion.
