World Series of Poker Europe

The 2017 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is fully underway at King's Casino, located on the German border in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. The series kicked off on Oct. 19 and will run until Nov. 10.

One of the 11 gold bracelets of the series has already been handed out after Ukraine's Oleksandr Shcherbak took down Event #1: 1,100 No-Limit Hold'em MONSTER STACK for an impressive payday of 117,708.

The highlight of the poker festival is still yet to come with the 10,350 WSOPE Main Event featuring a huge 5 million guarantee on Nov. 4-10. However, this is likely not to be the biggest tournament in terms of payout or perhaps in terms of what poker fans have their eyes on.

WSOPE High Roller for One Drop

The 111,000 WSOPE High Roller for One Drop features a massive 10 million guarantee twice as much as the Main Event on Nov. 3-5.

As was the case during the summer when Doug Polk shipped the WSOP High Roller for One Drop $111,111 No-Limit Hold'em for $3,686,865, this tournament will attract some of the biggest names in poker including Phil Hellmuth, Fedor Holz, Patrik Antonius, Antonio Esfandiari, Gus Hansen, Liv Boeree and Tony G.

The event, which is capped at 111-entrants, will donate a significant amount to charity with the 11,111 fee of the initial buy-in less taxes being donated to the One Drop Foundation. With a full house expected, this amounts to over 1 million going towards efforts to deliver clean water to help those in need.

King's Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik was one of the players that initially made a deposit to play the event. However, he will step aside to let others play while donating his deposit to charity.

"The demand is strong and I have given up my own seat and will play host instead," Tsoukernik said about the High Roller event. "My 11,000 deposit will go to One Drop."

Remaining Events

In addition to the Main Event, the High Roller for One Drop and the nine other WSOP gold bracelet events on the schedule, the WSOPE schedule features a plethora of affordable side events where bracelets will not be awarded. Those that prefer cash games will also have plenty to choose from with tables at stakes low and high running around the clock throughout the festival.

With one bracelet down, there are still ten up for grabs. Here's a look at the full gold bracelet event schedule.
