Global Poker Releases 2018 Eagle Cup Schedule with SC$750K Guaranteed
The popular Eagle Cup is soaring back to Global Poker for another edition that will run from Oct. 1-21, with added excitement. With 135 championship events and SC$750,000 in guaranteed prize pools across the three-week series, the upcoming Eagle Cup is bigger than ever.
The series kicks off with an Opening SC$5,000 Freeroll on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. ET to offer players a nice little bankroll boost before the official kickoff on Oct. 1. There are no entry requirements except of course having an account at Global Poker.
2018 Eagle Cup Details
Much like their other series, Global Poker offers an array of events at three different Sweeps Cash buy-in tiers to accommodate a range of players and bankrolls. Not only that, but there's also a full Gold Coins schedule of events, so there is something for all players regardless of bankroll restrictions.
The highlight of the series will be the High SC$100,000 Guaranteed Main Event, which will get started on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 5:30 p.m. ET. While the buy-in for the $100K guarantee is SC$218, two smaller Main Events are also available for SC22 and SC$110 that carry guarantees of SC$15,000 and SC$40,000 respectively.
Global Poker seeks to reward all of their winners, not just those who win Sweeps Cash events, so winners of both Sweeps Cash and Gold Coins events will receive a Global Poker Champions Pack delivered to their doorstep. In addition to sweet Global Poker swag, the Champions Packs include a massive Eagle Cup trophy engraved with the player's name and the tournament they won.
Global Poker Tournament of Champions
An added incentive for going the distance, players who finish first or second in Global Poker Championship events will receive an invitation into a series-ending Global Poker Championships Tournament of Champions. A twist on their traditional method of sending the series leaderboard winner to represent Global Poker in a live poker event of their choice, this time around, the winner of the Tournament of Champions will earn the honors.
There will be SC$10,000 worth of added value up for grabs in the invitation-only event, with the winner collecting $5,000 to cover live tournament buy-ins and travel. This lucky player will then be heading to a live poker event to represent Global Poker and try to turn their freeroll buy-ins into more cash.
