Poker Roommates Josh Reichard & Mo Nuwwarah Claim Same Day WSOPC Rings
The World Series of Poker Circuit is currently at Horseshoe Hammond just outside Chicago. The stop will culminate with a $1,700 buy-in Main Event this weekend, but already there are several notable storylines coming out of the stop including a win by one of PokerNews�� very own.
Nuwwarah: "It��s limit poker; you just have to go through the swings."
Longtime poker reporter Mo Nuwwarah (pictured above) and friend Josh Reichard, with whom he is rooming in Chicago, both won tournaments on Tuesday. The latter locked up his tenth gold ring, while the former, who was celebrating his 32nd birthday, claimed his first.
On his way to victory, Nuwwarah battled Michael Hanson in an epic three-hour heads-up match.
��It was a long battle, it was back and forth,�� said Nuwwarah, who plans to give the ring to his mother. ��I was down to nine bets, then he was down to five bets, then he came back. It��s limit poker; you just have to go through the swings.��
Nuwwarah says he prefers played mixed games over Texas Hold��em. ��I like all of the Stud games, not a fan of Omaha 8 or Better, but that��s what I won in, so I like it more now.��
The win marked Nuwwarah��s second in a mixed tournament. Back in 2016, he defeated Barry Greenstein and Chris Reslock three-handed to win the PokerStars Festival New Jersey Event #33: $340 8-Game Championship for $4,032.

Josh Reichard Captures WSOPC Ring No. 10
Meanwhile, Event #6: $400 NLH Monster Stack attracted 554 runners and offered a $182,820 prize pool. The two-day event saw 56 players advance to Day 2 including nine-time WSOP Circuit gold ring winner Josh Reichard, who began the day 15th in chips.
By the end of play on Wednesday night, Reichard, who has been a guest on the LFG Podcast, had all the chips and his tenth gold ring. Only Maurice Hawkins (11 rings) and Valentin Vornicu (12 rings) have more.
Reichard: "this was especially fun because it was a really friendly talkative final table everybody had a good time."
��It feels great, this was especially fun because it was a really friendly talkative final table; everybody had a good time,�� Reichard said after the win. ��There was one point where my buddy [Chris] Conrad on my left got a double knockout so he was close to me in chips. I lost the chiplead for a little while but I hung in there, won some all-ins, got lucky in some pots, and it ended up working out.��
Ohers to cash the tournament were Nick Pupuillo (11th - $2,867), Matt Avery (21st - $1,612), and Yoon Kim (45th - $713).
