Merit Poker Classic Boast $5 Million in Guarantees on May 2-12

Poker players are flocking to Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino in North Cyprus for the Merit Poker Classic on May 2-12. The festival is organized in cooperation with Poker Club Management and partypoker LIVE and features more than $5,000,000 in combined guarantees.
Players can use a cashless system to enter all 18 events on the schedule by using PP Live Dollars.
PokerNews Covering the Merit Poker Classic Main Event
The highlight of the festival is easily the Merit Poker Classic $5,300 Main Event featuring a massive $3 million guaranteed prize pool on May 6-12. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to cover all of the action of this fantastic event from beginning to end.
The tournament is a deep-stacked affair with players starting off with 100,000 chips on each of the five opening flights on May 6-9. The first three opening flights on May 6-8 feature long 60-minute blind levels. The Day 1D field on May 8 will be faster paced with 30-minute blind levels while the final opening flight on May 9 will feature even quicker 20-minute blind levels.
Players will have plenty of opportunities to build a monster stack with unlimited re-entries are permitted until the conclusion of Level 12, which coincides with the fourth blind level of Day 2 on May 9 when blind levels increase to 75-minutes in length.
Those bagging chips on Day 2 will compete for three more days on May 10-12 until a winner is crowned.
Other Event Highlights
Each of the 18 events on the schedule is something special. Some of the bigger events include the $2,200 Warm Up with a $500,000 guarantee on May 2-6, the $10,500 High Roller with a $500,000 guarantee on May 4-6, the $1,650 Bounty with a $100,000 guarantee on May 7, the $25,500 Super High Roller on May 9-11, the $1,650 Mix Max with a $125,000 guarantee on May 9-11, and the $2,200 Super Bounty with a $100,000 guarantee on May 11.
