Sunday Briefing: $677K Day for Andras Nemeth

Hungarian star Andras ��probirs�� Nemeth (lead photo) took his lifetime online poker tournament winnings past the $17.7 million barrier following an incredible Sunday that saw him win more $677,000!

Victories at PokerStars and Natural8 were mostly responsible for this huge sum, let��s take a look at Nemeth��s super Sunday. partypoker results were unavailable at the time of writing as they had dropped out of the partypoker lobby.

$2,100 Sunday High Roller at PokerStars

The first of Nemeth��s excellent results came in the $2,100 Sunday High Roller at PokerStars, which saw 66 players buy in and create a $132,000 prize pool. Only the top seven finishers banked some of that prize money, with ��Remi Lebo_10�� being the first player to cash. Seventh-place netted the Ukrainian $5,744.

Preben ��prebz�� Stokkan was the next to fall and he was joined on the sidelines by Conor ��1_conor_b_1�� Beresford whose $11,061 prize was the first five-figure haul of the tournament.

Fourth-place and $15,349 went to ��mararthur1�� of Russia before ��limitless�� of Macao ran out of steam and fell in third for $21,300. This set up a heads-up battle between Nemeth and Michael ��imluckbox�� Addamo with Nemeth resigning his opponent to the $29,557 consolation prize while collecting the $41,015 for himself.

$109 Sunday Million at PokerStars

There was no chop in this weekend��s Sunday Million meaning Bulgaria��s Rosen ��dtminator�� Apostolov walked away with a six-figure prize when they were the last of the 10,344 players standing.

The Bulgarian defeated ��Samuel Peace�� heads-up for the title and the lion's share of the prize money, leaving the runner-up to bank $77,667 for their second place finish.

Earlier at the final table, Mike ��goleafsgoeh�� Leah crashed out in ninth place for $7,715 and was the last player not to win a five-figure prize. Leah was joined on the rail by ��Seaman58�� and Diego ��D!egoRezende�� Rezende before ��Miry1313�� busted in fifth for $28,869.

Brazil��s Wendel ��wendellau�� Lauerte fell in fourth place and won $40,151 with the penultimate bust out being that of ��bibichoc1989�� who scooped $55,843 for their demise in third-place.

Blade $25K Invitational Only at Natural8

Nemeth��s second win came in the Blade $25K Invitational Only at Natural8, a tournament without a guarantee but also one where $1,176,000 was shared among the top six finishers.

Canada��s ��AlfredDelia�� busted in sixth place to get their hands on $56,243 before ��Picasso16�� of the United Kingdom turned their $25,000 into $83,736 with a fifth-place finish.

A cool $124,667 went to ��good poker�� of Hong Kong, when they ran out of luck in fourth place. Third-place and $185,607 went to Ukraine��s ��pihler13�� who is a regular on natural8 in the biggest buy-in tournaments.

As is ��NOMAMES�� who navigated their way to second place after falling at the final hurdle. NOMAMES, who calls Finland home, collected $313,226 for second place, leaving Nemeth to bank $412,517.

Blade $25K Invitational Only at Natural8

Not content with his already massive daily haul, Nemeth entered another two $25,000 buy-in tournaments at Natural8. One saw him finish third for $90,966 with this one here ending in fourth place for $132,459, incredible stuff.

Russia��s ��WhiteSnow�� was the first player to pad their bankroll with some prize money in this tournament, with sixth place being worth $59,758. They were joined by ��RockyMarciano�� who won $88,969 before Nemeth busted out.

Third-place went to ��good poker�� who had earlier won $124,667 in another $25K Blade, leaving ��Picasso16�� and ��SasukeUchiha�� to lock horns heads-up for the title and the $477,495 top prize.

It was the latter who came out of the battle unscathed and with the biggest prize, leaving the second-place finish to console themselves with $293,607.

$100,000 Sunday Mega Deep at 888poker

World Series of Poker bracelet winner Jerry ��Perrymejsen�� Odeen added the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep title to his list of online poker accomplishments this week. The Swedish pro came out on top of a field of 470 entrants to secure the title and $19,350 in cash.

Odeen defeated ��LeetRunGoot�� of Canada heads-up for the title. Second-place was worth $14,500. Only ��magnit7�� of Ukraine who finished in third-place managed to lock up a five-figure payout. All nine finalists did won at least $1,750, however.

��OooooEatDat�� booked a $1,750 win with ��xvckneru�� winning $2,400 for eighth place. $3,400 went to Germany��s ��Rumukuluss�� before ��sweet_dr34ms�� of Russia got their hands on $4,400 for their sixth-place elimination.

Brazil��s Kelvin ��Kelvin_kerbe�� Kerbe and ��RagnAArok�� were the final non-five-figure prize winners. They won $5,700 and $8,200 respectively.

$20,000 Sunday Challenge at 888poker

Finally for this week��s Sunday Briefing, a shout out to the UK��s Charlie ��chazcombes�� Combes and ��Mr.Pampers�� of Russia who chopped the $20,000 Sunday Challenge at 888poker.

Combes is the man credited with triumphing in this $109 buy-in tournament and his victory netted him $4,868. Second-place, after the deal, yielded a prize of $4,344 to Mr.Pampers.

Mentions also to ��Scooterjean�� (third for $2,925), ��COME2PAPPA14�� (fourth for $2,178), ��thechronic99�� (fifth for $1,494) and ��Nemekiss�� (sixth for $1,245) who each banked a four-figure prize for their $109 buy-in.
