High Roller Recap

The tournament guaranteed 36 players at least a min-cash of $750. It took approximately 6 1/2 hours for players to reach the money after Sweden's Andreas "Zaniacmaniac" Johansson eliminated Malta's "becauseYES" when his ace-queen held against his opponent's ace-four suited.

Among the players not to cash was the only 888poker Ambassador to enter the event in Martin "MJacobson888" Jacobson (92nd place). It wasn't for a lack of trying as the 2014 WSOP Main Event champion fired the maximum five bullets into the event but kept losing flips or even while ahead time after time.

The final table was reached nearly 8 1/2 hours into the tournament after Johansson was eliminated in 10th place for $1,600 when his king-eight suited couldn't get there against his opponent's ace-nine.

"LucySagara70" entered the final table with the chip lead followed by "zavor4ik."

Russia's Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii was the first player eliminated at the final table in ninth place for $1,900 when his pocket jacks couldn't get there against the kings held by Ukraine's "For1k."

Shortly after, "zavor4ik" doubled up against "LucySagara70" to take the chip lead, which they held for almost the entire rest of the final table.

"zavor4ik" then went on a tear and eliminated three opponents in a row starting with sending Romania's "cristian83ro" to the rail in eighth place for $2,500.

Shortly after, "zavor4ik" ousted "LucySagara70" in seventh place for $3,500 followed by Ireland's "panda7a" in sixth place for $4,500.

"Jesusisback" then took a bad beat to hit the showers in fifth place for $5,800. He got it in good with jacks but against the tens held by "For1k" but two tens came on the board to give their opponent quads.

Shortly after, "For1k" was low on chips and was eliminated in fourth place for $8,500 when their ace-four didn't get there against the eights held by "zavor4ik."

Sweden's "Mr_Coyote" was then left short on chips and was eliminated in third place after their ace-king didn't hold against the king-nine suited held by "floatmasta."

This left two Latvians battling it out heads-up with "zavor4ik" holding an almost 2:1 chip advantage to start play. "floatmasta" was able to snag the lead before he gave it back to his opponent.

"zavor4ik" held a nearly 4:1 chip advantage when the final hand took place. "floatmasta" min-raised from under the gun with ace-nine. "zavor4ik" three-bet jammed with king-five suited and got there after "floatmasta" called off for about 19 big blinds.

"floatmasta" didn't walk away empty-handed as this player was awarded a cool $15,000 runner-up prize.
