There��s only one month to wait until the biggest-ever Sunday Million takes place at PokerStars. A staggering $12.5 million will be won in the $215 buy-in tournament celebrating 14-years of Sunday Million action.

How many of you were playing online poker in March 2006? Do you remember the first-ever Sunday Million take place? It shuffled up and dealt on Sunday 5 March, 2006 and saw 5,893-players buy in for $215 and created a massive $1,178,600 prize pool.

The inaugural Sunday Million was done and dusted after a shade over eight hours of play. ��aaaaaaaa�� was the last player standing and they saw their PokerStars account swell by an impressive $173,843.

Several special edition Sunday Millions have taken place over the past 14-years, mostly to celebrate the tournament��s anniversary.

The 10th anniversary edition is still the biggest-ever Sunday Million thanks to an almost unbelievable 62,116 players turning out for it. Those entrants created a $12,432,000 prize pool.

Prizes at the final table were life-changing so it was no surprise to see the tournament end in a deal. The final six players agreed to a deal that left an additional $200,000 for the eventual champion. That champion ended up being Kyle ��First-Eagle�� Weir who became a millionaire courtesy of his monster-sized $1,146,574 payout. The other deal makers won between $580,724 and $995,996.

Stage Is Set For The Biggest-Ever Sunday Million

March 22nd, 2020 is the date you want to keep free if you want to become part of online poker history. This is the date PokerStars is slapping a $12.5 million guarantee on the Sunday Million��s prize pool.

At least 62,500 entries are required in order to hit this ambitious total, it��ll be a stretch but it is possible.

One way PokerStars plans to hit the guarantee is by running a plethora of satellites.

At least 100x $215 seats are guaranteed to be won every day in the $11 buy-in satellites. Hundreds of other satellites are running around the clock.

There there are the special edition Spin & Go tournaments that are already a big hit with PokerStars�� players. They come in two guises: a $4 buy-in and a $20 buy-in. Both have some awesome possible payouts.

Once you��ve bought in or secured your $215 seat, you��re allowed to re-enter up to five times while late registration is open. Late registration is open throughout the enter Day 1 on March 22nd and through to the start of Day 2 that begins at 6:05 p.m. on March 23rd.

Day 2 ends upon the completion of Level 50 and the final day commences at 5:05 p.m. CET sharp on March 24th.
