The March 1 edition of the Sunday Million drew in a total crowd of 10,804, made up of 7,579 unique entrants and 3,225 re-entries. This bumper crowd ensured the $1 million guaranteed was surpassed by $80,400.

The top 1,934 finishers received a slice of the massive prize pool so spare a thought for Canadas plyman416 who burst the money bubble. To make matters worse, they fired four $109 bullets at this tournament and still finished on the stone-cold bubble.

Dozens of elite grinders navigated their way into the money places. These included Dinesh NastyMinder Alt, Stephen woody1234321 Woodhead, Team PokerStars Felix xflixx Schneiders, Matthew mjw006 Wakeman, Manig swordfish007 Loeser, Mike goleafsgoeh Leah, and Guillaume Nolet20 Nolet the latter falling in 15th place.

All but one of the players at the final table walked away with a five-figure prize.

Sunday Million tips from the pros

Stuart guitey Guite busted in ninth-place for $8,529. The British grinder gained some company on the rail when pallimall of Germany dusted off their stack and banked $11,753 for their eighth-place exit.

Brazilians Make Up Half The Remaining Field

Three Brazilian players made up the final seven players, giving the final table a Samba feel. They made up half the remaining players when Adso139 fell by the wayside in seventh for $16,195.

The first of the Brazilian finalists crashed out in sixth-place, Fabricio fabrishow71 Giacobbo, for $22,316 and was joined on the sidelines by Norways storehyller who banked $30,751.

Kyrgyzstan was put on the map thanks to LEV.DG1990 making all the way to fourth-place, a finish worth a cool $42,375.

Guilherme Pelckito Franos exit in third for $58,391 left only one Brazilian in the field as the Sunday Million progressed to the heads-up stage.

Brazils Tavares locked horns with Russias serg.82g for the lions share of the prize pool. $30,421 was the difference between first and second place, but no deal was struck. This meant Tavares reeled in a colossal $110,883 when he emerged for the final fight victoriously. His Russian opponent, although disappointed not to win, got their hands on $80,462 which will go some way to softening the blow.
