Monday marked the second day of the 2020 Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series, which will run through Sunday. Click here for a look at the full schedule.

The 2020 Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series saw its first high-stakes Omaha champion crowned in Event #3: $15,000 GTD PLO 6-Max Rebuy, where "spinach_kale" topped a field of 48 entries to take home the first-place prize of $6,300.

A late registration and rebuy period of more than two-and-a-half hours was available, ultimately closing with 60 rebuys that were punctuated by 22 add-ons from the 28 players still in contention when the add-on period closed.

From there, it took less than an hour for the tournament to reach two tables and under 90 minutes for the final table of six to be reached. However, only five paid and "tc_ownz" wound up becoming the sixth-place finisher after being eliminated by "MattEMenz" via straight-over-straight.

"Jaggyboy13" and "dhimp20" then fell in succession to Anthony "Flawlessbinkage" Maio, who took a sizeable chip lead into three-handed play. "spinach_kale" was third in chips but pulled even with "MattEMenz" and ultimately knocked him out after hitting the nut flush on the river against "MattEMenz's" set of queens.

Maio took the chip lead into the heads-up match and pulled away briefly, but then lost momentum as "spinach_kale" was able to claw back over the course of about 15 minutes, ultimately gaining the chip lead and never looking back from there.

"spinach_kale" is no stranger to the poker world, both online and live, with over $7 million in live winnings going back to 2006 and an online history predating that.

On Monday, the second of eight opening flights in the $215 buy-in Spring Poker Open Event #1: Phased $100K GTD played out. Flight B saw 21 of 77 players survive with "CreateReality (415,749) leading the pack. That is well behind Day 1a chip leader "irish44," who made it through with 692,551.

Other familiar names to bag were Ryan "TheSims" Hohner (255,823), Dan "Mj23style" Sewnig (151,814), and "spinach_kale" (64,003). Also making it through was BorgataPoker.com Sponsored Pro Katie "KatieStone" Stone (179,649).

Stone doubled early at the 400/800/100 level when syderange called under the gun and rprmoo did the same two spots over. Stone called out of the small blind, BOVIC checked his option, and the flop came down 6?7?10?.

Two checks saw syderange bet 3,000, rprmoo raised to 10,500, and Stone check-raised all in for 55,159. BOVIC folded, syderange got out of the way, and rprmoo made the call.

rprmoo: A?8?
Stone: 7?7?

Stone was ahead with middle set but rprmoo had flush and gutshot straight draws. Neither the Q? turn nor 8? river hurt Stone and she doubled to 117,318.

There will be a Day 1 flight for Event #1 every day of the remaining series with the surviving players from each returning at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 12 to play down to a winner.
