Final Table Recap

At the final table, play slowed for a significant amount of time with eight players remaining as many short stacks survived and chips were passed around. The players eventually were eliminated in relatively straightforward fashion relative to their chip positions with Jayb0y_11 emerging as a contender with six players remaining.

But ShopChop96 would regain the advantage as they eliminated LuckyBuda in third place to take a 70:30 chip advantage to heads up over Jayb0y_11. The gap would grow quickly as the Mexican player extended their lead, winning pot after pot. Despite surviving one all in, Jayb0y_11 could not turn things around and eventually succumbed when their flush draw failed to come in on the final hand to give ShopChop96 the WSOP Circuit title and ring.

The Day's Action

The biggest buy-in event of the GGPoker WSOP Online Super Circuit came with a whopping $10,000,000 guarantee, which was hit just after the start of Level 13, and the pot just kept growing from there. When all was said and done, 505 entries swelled the prize pool to $12,372,500, and 71 players shared in that money.

When registration closed, there were less than 200 players still sitting with chips, and that number dwindled fast. It only took about two hours from the close of registration to start paying out min-cashes of $57,547. One of the players to make it there, and beyond, was the winner of the first event in this series, "TheMadQueen". They won Event #1: COVID Charity 1M Gtd for more than $250,000, and managed to make it to the second pay level in this one for another $71,632.

Things moved pretty quickly, and within about two hours, the final 18 were set. It was another two hours again until the final nine were seated together. "Sub_Zero" was out quickly in ninth when their nines couldn't hold against ace-three, and they were quickly followed in eighth place by Brazil's "gaufreancienne" in a horrible spot with queens into aces.

"AlwaysWithNuts" was very short stacked when they got it in with suited connectors and couldn't get there against king-ten. "mm1993" took sixth shortly after with fours into eights. They played five-handed for about 15 minutes before "M0therLover" found themselves all in with a dominated king for fifth place and $634,592.

It took another 20 minutes to decided fourth place in what was essentially a million-dollar pay jump. Canada's "BlackPhillip" ended up taking the last spot under $1 million ($865,750) when their dominated queen couldn't find any help. "HotPot44" followed quickly in third for $1,181,110, setting up an epic heads up battle between "800-522-4700" and Patrick "Babu$hka" Leonard.

"800-522-4700" was in control most of the way, but Leonard fought back for more than half an hour. At one point they pulled close to even, but in the end, Leonard ran into kings with ace-four, and couldn't get there. Leonard won $1,611,342 for second place, while Costa Rican "800-522-4700" won $2,198,292, the title and the ring.

"miya111" Wins Event $9: Mini Main Event for $278,361

From a field of 4,104 players, "miya111" was the last player standing in the2020 GGPoker WSOP Online Super Circuit $100 Mini-Main Event. "miya111", from Malaysia, took down the tournament after ten hours of play, and came away with a $278,361 payday.

"miya111" outlasted Poland's "lecimy_tutaj" in the heads up match, with "lecimy_tutaj" going home with $198,411 for the runner-up finish.

"lecimy_tutaj" appeared poised to take down the tournament in the latter stages, at one point holding more than a third of the chips in play with 14 players left in the tournament. They held the chip lead for much of the final table as well but fell victim to a heater from the Malaysian "miya111" in short-handed play.

The tournament awarded $2,700,844 in total prize money, nearly tripling the $1,000,000 guarantee.

"ChilaxChuck" Wins WSOPC Event #10: PLO High Roller Championship for $442,041

The final tournament of the day was the PLO High Roller Championship, and after eight hours of Pot-Limit Omaha action, "ChilaxChuck" emerged victorious, taking home $442,041, and the WSOPC ring. The prize pool had a guarantee of $1,000,000, but the field ended up drawing 234 entries, making for a huge prize pool of just under $2,267,000.

"ChilaxChuck" started the final table as the short stack, but after scoring an early double up, they went on a tear, knocking out every player at the final table except "Mikhail Tal".

6"SUPERUNKNOWN"Israel$102,888

Three-handed play saw a few swings before "ChilaxChuck" scored the knockout of "SillyRabbit". Then, in the biggest pot of the entire tournament, "ChilaxChuck"'s naked pair of aces was able to dodge a flush draw and set outs for "BailaMorena," and from that point on, "ChilaxChuck" would never lose the lead.
