The entire poker community is waiting expectantly for the release of the 2020 WSOP Online schedule on GGPoker which starts on July 19th and runs until early September.

No one knows for sure what events will be included, but here we break down ten things that we might see included.

They include huge guarantees, eye-watering buy-ins as well as formats never seen before at the WSOP. Read on to find out exactly what could be in store for poker players around the world!

A total of 85 bracelets will be awarded starting July 1 and running through early September

1. Live WSOP Named Tournaments, Brought Online

Some of the World Series of Poker's most memorable tournaments have been the 'named' tournaments. GGPoker are also no stranger to named tournaments, withChinese Zodiac tournaments and the Multi MILLION$ hugely successful features in their own right.

But which named tournaments will make the transition from the live WSOP to online. The Colossus, Millionaire Maker and Big 50 could all feature, but there might be something completely new especially for the GGPoker WSOP Online.

2. Huge Guarantees

Everyone knows that GGPoker have had some of the biggest and most generous guarantees from across the online poker world, but just how big will they be? PokerNews writer Matthew Pitt already speculated that the festival could come with $200 million in combined guarantees which would make it one of the biggest poker festivals in online history.

3. $100,000 Super High Roller

The first-ever $100,000 Online SHR came back in 2016 on PokerStars as part of the WCOOP. The second came earlier this month with Justin Bonomo's victory in the $100,000 Super High Roller Bowl Online.

Could GGPoker host the third online $100,000 in history as part of the GGPoker WSOP Online?

4. GGMasters Becomes Weekly Bracelet Event

The GGMasters was launched in February with a $300,000 guarantee. That has since been increased to $500,000 with a Player of the Year Leaderboard, granting one player a $500,000 GGPoker sponsorship package.

It would make sense for the weekly event, which continually attracts thousands of players, to become a regular bracelet event to headline every Sunday.

5. $100 buy-in Bracelet Event

The lowest ever buy-in bracelet event was back in 2017. Event #8: $333 WSOP.com Online Little Grind was won by Joseph "ul_gg" Mitchell for $122,314.

Meanwhile in the WSOP.com schedule - running every day in July - the lowest buy-in is $400, but could GGPoker attract one of the biggest online fields in WSOP history with a $100 buy-in bracelet event?

6. First Online Short Deck Poker WSOP Bracelet

Short deck poker continues to be one of the most exciting recent developments in both live and online poker, with GGPoker no stranger to spreading the game. Therefore it would make sense that an online short deck bracelet could be in the offing.

The only previous winner of a short deck bracelet was Alex Epstein in 2019, winning $296,277 in the $10,000 Short Deck Championship.

7. An All-in or Fold Bracelet Event

You can win a share of $10,000 in GGPoker's Daily All-In or Fold Flipout tournaments, but might it soon be possible to win a WSOP bracelet in this format? With no tanking and now way for the action to slow down, it's an exciting variant that keeps the game interesting. Keep an eye out for whether this is featured in the GGPoker WSOP Online schedule.

8. Charity Events

The WSOP has a strong history of supporting charities, either through the One Drop charity initiative, or more recently a WSOP Circuit COVID Charity tournament that raised more than $175,000 for the Nevada Community Foundation's Covid-19 Emergency Response Fund.

We think it's highly likely that another Charity Event will feature in the WSOP Online on GGPoker. In the mean time, check out the highlights of "TheMadQueen" winning a ring in the WSOPC COVID Charity Tournament.

9. Big-field Phased Bracelets

Phased tournaments are not new to either live or online festivals, but considering the success of phased tournament such as the Multi MILLION$, it would make sense for a huge Phased tournament to form part of GGPoker's WSOP Online schedule.

10. Mixed Games Added Especially for GGPoker WSOP Online

This may be a longshot. Currently, the GGPoker client is restricted to No-Limit Hold'em, Short Deck Poker and Pot-Limit Omaha, but many poker players will be crossing their fingers that Mixed Games are added to the client in time for the GGPoker WSOP Online.
