2021 PASCOOP Day 14: 'waltsnotdeadyet' Grabs Third Title

"waltsnotdeadyet" scooped a win and a runner-up.

The 2021 PokerStars Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker (PASCOOP) kicked off on April 17 and will run through May 3, offering more than $2 million in guaranteed prize pools with buy-ins as low as $5 up to $1,000. The highlight of the series is the two-day $300 buy-in Main Event on May 2 featuring a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Each of the 40 events is comprised of three different tournaments C a High, Medium, and Low buy-in C meaning theres a total of 120 tournaments. Through the first 14 days of the series, 96 events have run their course, catering to 36,593 combined entrants and awarding $1,918,436 in prize money in the process.

Friday was a day that didn't quite match some previous ones in terms of prizes awarded as nobody scooped any five-figure wins. The biggest payout went to "iamsmirk" who came out on top of a 161-entry field in 30-H: $200 NLHE [Progressive KO, 25% PKO], $25K GTD. Between bounties and regular payouts, they collected $5,782 for their troubles.

"ChrundleTheGr8," who has been cashing left and right at PASCOOP thus far, grabbed another final table finish with a seventh-place run worth $990.

Prizes include bounties

Meanwhile, the $50 Medium PKO would see three players reach the end and make a deal. The top performers look to have been "adonatelli" and "TiltedMachine" as each got about $1,900 while "notscared11" secured themselves $1,549. It would be "adonatelli" grabbing the most of the bounty prize pool, though, adding another $735 to their winnings and taking home the title.

The $20 Low would see "THEPhilipJFry" defeat "MASTERH0RDER" heads up. Each player won $989 from the prize pool while the former got a boost of $274 for bounties to win the most dough overall.

Mixed-game grinders were thrown a bone with the H.O.R.S.E. event. It was in the $10 Low that a three-time champion has emerged, for what PokerNews believes to be the first time this series. There, "waltsnotdeadyet" topped a field of $279 for $483 in prize money. That will be added to the $444 they won in 09-L: $5 NLHE [Escalatng Antes], $2.5K GTD and the $1,806 from 15-M: $30 NLHE [4-Max], $7.5K GTD.

"waltsnotdeadyet" denied "BobbyShmurda16" back-to-back title days as they finished second the day after winning the $30 PKO.

Others have won more money than "waltsnotdeadyet" but their three titles are a testament to consistency and domination at the stakes they're playing.

Not only that, but they nearly snagged title No. 4 in the $30 Medium as they finished second to "TheBiggZigg," who took home $985.

Naturally, the biggest prize of the event went to "GARMONB0ZIA" in the 105-entry $100 High, as they scooped $2,251. They made their third bullet count for the win.

None of the three mixed events had trouble covering the guarantee after there was some issue with that in the 8-game.

Action continues Saturday with three more events. There's a six-max win the button, and eight-max PKO highlighted by a $500 High level, and a four-max turbo. PokerNews will be back Sunday with a rundown of all of the results.
