The Global Poker Awards Return After COVID Induced Hiatus

The third edition of the Global Poker Awards has officially been announced and returns to the PokerGO Studio at the ARIA Resort and Casino in February 2022.
The poker industry event, that looks to celebrate the achievements of well-known figures from all facets of poker, is being brought you by PokerGO and follows the announcement of their multi-year partnership with the Global Poker Index (GPI) and The Hendon Mob (THM). The ceremony will be streamed live on PokerGO on Friday, February 18.
2022 Global Poker Awards
Live poker was affected for large parts of 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the 2021 Global Poker Awards being cancelled due to the severity of the global crisis.
"We can't wait to shine the light bright on the most talented people and organizations once again"
The return of the ceremony marks the end of the two year hiatus for the celebratory event.
Over 20 awards are up for grabs at the 2022 Global Poker Awards.
Some of the accolades that will be presented include - GPI Player of the Year, Players' Choice Award for Best All-Around Poker Player and People's Choice Award for Hand of the Year.

Eric Danis, President of the GPI/THM exclusively told PokerNews that "After waiting for two looooong years, I'm so happy to announce that we're bringing the Global Poker Awards back to PokerGO!"
"The last two years have been difficult for everyone, including those in our industry, we just can't wait to shine the light bright on the most talented people and organizations once again," added Danis.
