Niall Farrell is a Triple Crown winner having won EPT Malta, WPT Caribbean, and a WSOP bracelet. He now has a UKIPT title to his name after he bested a field 278 entrants in the 2022 UKIPT Dublin Main Event. Farrell collected �54,940 for this latest victory, which takes the Scotsman's live poker tournament lifetime winnings past $6.5 million.

Farrell finished Day 1B second in chips and navigated his way to the six-handed final table fifth in chips, with a stack of 483,000 when the average stack was 1,390,000 and the chip leader, Leon Campbell, held 5,000,000 chips. Farrell used his vast experience with a sprinkling of luck to stage a superb comeback and ultimately become a UKIPT champion.

The top 42 finishers won at least �1,530 for the efforts. Such luminaries as David Lappin, Jason Tompkins, Andrew Grimason, and Will Kassouf finished in the money. Kassouf bused in eighth place for �7,450 only days after winning the UKIPT Dublin High Roller event.

Dubliner Richard O'Neill's time at the final table was short-lived because he crashed and burned in sixth place, a finish good for an �11,150. Remus Matache was eliminated in fifth place despite entering the final table as by far the shortest stack. Matache turned his �1,100 buy-in into a career-best �14,500.

The final four became three when Manish Rawal bowed out and got his hands on �18,840. Rawal's previous largest cash tipped the scales at �1,120 so this five-figure score is definitely an upgrade.

Ireland's Greg King busted in third for �24,500, which left Farrell heads-up against Campbell in a one-on-one battle for the title. Campbell has more than $570,000 in live cashes and is a formidable opponent, but Farrell got the job done and his hands on yet another title. Farrell scooped �54,940 leaving Campbell to collect the �34,290 consolation prize.

UKIPT Jets Off to Sunny Malta
