Three people are tied on five GGPoker Super MILLION$ titles each: Michael Addamo, Niklas Astedt, and Artur Martirosian. Addamo was not among the 176 entrants this week, and Astedt fired three $10,300 bullets before calling it a night. However, Martirosian managed to navigate his way to the nine-handed final table, where the majority of the $1,760,000 prize pool awaits.

Only eight players stand between Martirosian and a record-setting sixth Super MILLION$ title, that and the fact the talented Russian sits down at the final table at 7:00 p.m. BST on October 4 with the second-shortest stack.

Martirosian returns to the fray armed with 846,554 chips, a quarter of the number of betting tokens in the chip leader's stack. That sounds like Martirosian is on the ropes, but his stack contains 21 big blinds, so he is hardly on life support right now. He does, however, need to improve his position sooner rather than later less he wants to find himself at the mercy of the push-or-fold Gods.

Roman Novoselov is the man in pole position when play resumes, courtesy of his 3,412,707 chips (85 big blinds). Novoselov has $195,000 and change in GGPoker winnings, a sum he will more than double should he finish third or better tonight. Being a relative unknown quantity among a flurry of stars could just work in his favour.

Pablo Silva is present and correct at yet another Super MILLION$ final table, and is in the hunt for what would be a second outright victory. The Brazilian grinder recently broke through the $5.5 million barrier regarding GGPoker winnings. His second Super MILLION$ title would edge him close to $6 million because tonight's top prize tips the scales at $357,739. Silva has an arsenal of 3,284,921 chips, or 82 big blinds.

Netherlands' "WouldILieToYOU" is another player who has tasted victory in this high-stakes event. The Dutch grinder won a special edition of the Super MILLION$, and counts a Global MILLION$ and WSOP Circuit ring among his GGPoker accomplishments. WouldILieToYou takes his seat under the watchful eyes of the GGPoker Twitch following with 2,794,124 chips at his disposal, enough for 70 big blinds.

Look just below WouldILieToYou in the chip counts, and you find the three-time Super MILLION$ champion and high-stakes cash game guru, Wiktor Malinowski. The last couple of times Malinowski has progressed to the Super MILLION$ final table, he has done so with a short stack. He is free from the shackles of a short stack this week because he sits down with 2,658,597 chips, or 67 big blinds. The Macau-based superstar has more than enough chips to make a real nuisance of himself.

The other five finalists each have fewer than 40 big blinds, yet none of them has under 20 big blinds, making for an interesting dynamic once the cards are back in the air. Russia's "spaise411" is a seemingly permanent fixture in this tournament, although he is yet to walk away with the top honours. Perhaps they can turn their 1,418,896 stack (36 big blinds) into an outright victory this time around?

World Series of Poker bracelet winner Tyler "TheRayGuy" Cornell will still fancy his chances of a maiden Super MILLION$ title because his 1,323,039 stack is worth the equivalent of 33 big blinds. Cornell has racked up more than $5.7 million in winnings at GGPoker, so he certainly knows his way around a poker tournament table.

Form is a key factor in poker tournament, and Aleksejs Ponakovs heads to this final table having won more than $100,000 at PokerStars on Sunday. The Estonian WSOP bracelet winner has plenty of work ahead of him because he has 1,052,342 chips, or 26 big blinds.

The aforementioned Martirotisan occupies eighth place, with Uruguay's Ramiro Petrone bringing up the rear with his 808,820 stack (20 big blinds). Petrone has a Super MILLION$, GGMasters, and three GG Online Championship victories under his belt. Victory tonight would be most impressive.
