Mikolaitis Leads Race for $400K at the GGPoker Super MILLION$ Final Table

The latest $10,300 buy-in GGPoker Super MILLION$ final table is set after the 197 entrants were whittled to only nine players on Day 1. Each of the nine returning players is guaranteed no less than $57,203 for their efforts at this stage, but there is $400,423 awaiting the eventual champion, so nobody will want to claim the lesser sum.
Dominykas Mikolaitis sits down at the final table as the chip leader, and he is hoping for a repeat of what happened the last time he found himself in a similar spot. Mikolaitis held a commanding lead going into the Super MILLION$ final table in March 2022, and eventually emerged victoriously to scoop a $428,624 payout.

Mikolaitis returns to the action armed with a tournament-leading stack of 5,532,914 chips, or 111 big blinds, if you prefer. The Poland-based Lithuanian is the only finalist with three figures of big blinds at their disposal, so has the best chance of glory when play resumes at 7:00 p.m. BST on October 11. Mikolaits needs a runner-up finish or better to break through $3 million in GGPoker winnings. Do not bet against the former Super MILLION$, GGMasters, and GG Spring Championship winner achieving that feat.
Canada's "LJoseph62" will have plenty of eyes on them once the cards are back in the air because they sold a chunk of their action. The Canadian used the in-built staking software to sell 40.8% of themselves to 12 stakers, including 11.9% to Gaby Blaaspijp and another 10% to Alex "FutureofMe" Kulev. Both those stakers are on course for a sizable return on their investment. LJoseph62 has every chance of winning this event thanks to returning to the fray with 4,517,006 chips, the equivalent of 90 big blinds.
Third place at the restart belongs to Mexico-based Lithuanian Gediminas Uselis, who is armed with a war chest of 2,436,004 chips, or 49 big blinds. Uselis' stack is around half the size of second-placed LJoseph62, but it would be dangerous to write off the chances of someone who has a WSOP bracelet and ring on their GGPoker resume.

Three-time Super MILLION$ champion and recent WSOP Online Main Event champion Simon Mattsson is the superstar in fourth place when play resumes. Mattsson is an incredible poker tournament player, one with more than $10.8 million in GGPoker winnings alone. Mattsson has plenty of work ahead of him if he is to capture his fourth Super MILLION$ title because his 1,520,008 stack is worth 30 big blinds. This puts him in the middle of the pack but also means he is trailing the leaders by some distance.
Brazil's Yuri Dzivielevski is less than 2,000 chips behind Mattsson with a 1,518,309 stack, which is also the same as 30 big blinds at the restart. It is 18 months since the Brazilian superstar won his Super MILLION$ title, where he denied Michael Addamo the victory on his way to banking $408,406.
The rest of the finalists have sub-30 bug blind stacks, but are definitely not down and out. William "COL_Moutarde" Blais occupies sixth place with his 1,422,208 stack (28 big blinds), while Mario "St@edLer" Navarro, a bracelet winner online at GGPoker, returns seventh with 1,146,800 chips, or 23 big blinds.
Two former Super MILLION$ champions bring up the rear this week. Niklas Astedt, a five-time Super MILLION$ champion, has 980,358 chips at his disposal, or 20 big blinds. Three-time winner Wiktor Malinowski is the shortest stack, his 626,393 chips being worth the equivalent of 13 big blinds when the cards are back in the air.
