RGPS Closing Out Season in Thunder Valley With Over $2M In Guarantees
The Run Good Poker Series (RGPS) is closing out its 2023 Checkpoint Season Tour with its biggest stop yet at Thunder Valley Casino Resort with a series that will feature events with $250,000, $500,000 and a whopping $1 million guarantee.
Proving that Las Vegas is not the only place for summer poker action, the RGPS Thunder Valley stop will take place July 8-31 as 17 RGPS Rings are awarded over 19 days in northern California.
Players who win an RGPS Ring will also win an entry into the PokerGO Tour (PGT) Championship $1,000,000 Free Roll during the $300 Dream Seat Invitational at Thunder Valley in November.

The upcoming RGPS Thunder Valley stop will feature three multi-flight Ring events with six-figure guarantees. First will be the $400 Monolith, which will take place July 13-16 with a $250,000 prize pool up for grabs.
After that, the $600 buy-in Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship will take place July 20-23 and will feature a $500,000 guarantee.
But the biggest draw of the season finale series is the RGPS Checkpoint Million Dollar Main Event, a $2,500 buy-in tournament with a $1 million guarantee.
Other highlights of the series include a collaboration with Jack Rabbit Brewery featuring an exclusive RunGood branded beverage debuting July 18 with a free brewery tour that includes round-trip transportation to and from Thunder Valley. Another highlight is the signature $150 buy-in RunGood Ambassador Bomb Pot Bounty event taking place on July 24, which will award added-on prizes for knocking out designated celebrity players.
On the non-tournament side of things, players can jump into cash games with celebrities in a friendly meet-up game on July 26, or catch a free comedy show at Thunder Valley from poker commentator and comedian Joe Stapleton on July 27.
